Does your site have a good FAQ (Frequent Asked Questions) page? And do you keep it up to date over time by adding any questions you’re often asked?
The FAQ page is often a highly visited page as those who come to your site seeking information will often make a judgement about you and your offer based in the quality of your FAQ page. A good FAQ will indicate that you are customer focused.
To create a simple FAQ page on your site you can take the following steps.
- Use H3 Tags For Questions
Type all your FAQ questions into your post in H3 tags like this. You can have as many as you want but we are only showing an example with 5 questions.
Notice that I have not bothered to use an uppercase character for each word of the question. However using capital letters on questions is something I like to do because each question is really like a title. However I normally do this using CSS.
- Add The Answers
Next, underneath each question, place your answer. Your answer can be as complicated as you like, with video, images and text, or of course just text. Also, your answer can be as long as you like. I’ve created a simple example below.
Notice that the second and fourth answers consist of a single sentence. All the other questions are more complicated in that they have more than one sentence or contain pictures or video.
- Add Any Required DIV Tags
When you have an answer that is more than just a single paragraph, for the Genesis Club Accordion to work, you have to enclose the entire answer in DIV tags to join it up.
If you look below, I’ve added DIV tags to the first, third and fifth answers as in my example, these are the answers that contain more than one paragraph of text.
- Switch The Accordion On
The last step is to switch the accordion function on. You do this by scrolling down to the setting underneath the post. Click on the Accordion tab and click the checkbox as shown below.
This is what the FAQ page we just described above looks like with and without the FAQ facility in Genesis Club Pro.
